Honjo meets with Kazuma Kiryu at the Touto University Hospital after his adoptive daughter, Haruka Sawamura is critically injured in what appeared to be a deliberate hit and run. He was partnered with Makoto Date shortly before the events of Yakuza 6. Honjo is a detective with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division. He also seemingly puts too much faith in his superiors, as he did not suspect that he was actually being manipulated by the Yomei Alliance when he was told Date was illegally confining someone in the Police Hospital. Honjo wears a black suit over a white dress shirt and a striped gray-and-white tie.Ĭompared to his colleague Makoto Date, Honjo takes a more no-nonsense and by-the-book approach to solving his cases, as shown when he immediately suspected Kiryu over the murder of Shu Tatsukawa.
