He doesn't do much if people are already attacking him. I don't think the Cavalier is a good fit, as it wants people to attempt to attack his allies. Of course, the Berserker and Battlerager Barbarians have abilities that retaliate when they take damage, so they're worth mentioning. Use Reckless Attack so that enemies have an easier time hitting you while increasing your damage output. Rage reduces the damage AoA takes, so that it lasts x2 as long. A good example of this would be a Barbarian 1, Warlock X, using Armor of Agathys. The psychopathic tank is someone that wants people to hit him. Or you can do Life Cleric 1, Divine Sorcerer 3, Warlock X, focusing on healing yourself through your Chain healing invocation. For example, Life Cleric + Heavy ARmor Master + Divine Sorcerer can bond to two allies at once, reducing their non-magical weapon damage by 3 when he receives his portion. The martyr focuses on using relationships with Warding Bond with some form of damage mitigation. There's a few ways you could play around this, my examples being a group support/martyr, or a psychotic melee tank. I'm curious if there are homebrews or just fun builds that might focus on things like being the party tank, benefitting from taking hits or even harming yourself to gain buffs.
